About Us
People with disability
CREDIBLE CARE BECAUSE WE'VE BEEN THERE
The team at Culture Connex is committed to uplifting and empowering people living with a disability. Unique in the NDIS provider space, our Managing Director is leading the way as a person with a disability and an NDIS participant himself. As a registered NDIS service provider, this valuable insight helps us in our advocacy efforts, allowing us to secure the supports you need, while delivering high-quality services that are truly person-centred.
Armed with first-hand experience, we understand how the actions of service providers can impact individual participants. So, we work hard to balance your needs with the expectations of the NDIS/NDIA, using our expert knowledge to resolve issues and find long term solutions. Like you, we don’t believe disability should limit what you do or stop you from achieving your goals. That’s why we established Culture Connex – to help you get the support you need to live a full and meaningful life, wherever you are and whatever your disability.

Meet Our Managing Director
Jake Briggs is a fierce disability rights advocate with over a decade of lived experience of disability. After sustaining a spinal cord injury in 2010, he became a C5/C6 Quadriplegic. Employed at the time in carpentry & construction, he returned to work 12 months later, reskilling in contracts administration (construction financial risk management).
While continuing to work full time, he began to engage with disability advocacy groups and campaigns (e.g. as chairman for the Aboriginal Disability Network NSW, Don’t Dis My Ability, Australian Human Rights Commission). Working with these organisations lit a fire in his belly and he eventually left his career in the construction industry to work full time as the NSW Project & Business Development Manager for First Peoples Disability Network.
By mid 2019, Jake was ready to chase another dream – to create a company with the overarching goal of empowering & uplifting people with disability. Who better to helm the ship of a business providing support for people with disability, than someone with a disability themselves? Founding Culture Connex has become the next step in Jake’s continuing journey to ensure every person with a disability is valued, respected and supported.

Yes, Culture Connex works closely with hospitals and rehabilitation centres to support clients in their transition back into the community. We help build a dedicated team of Culture Connex support workers to assist clients and their families in returning to their own homes or one of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) or Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) properties. Our staff can also provide personal care within hospital settings where needed, ensuring that clients—particularly those with complex needs—receive consistent and specialised care beyond what hospital staff may be able to provide due to ward ratios.
